Atletico Madrid took a very back seat on the transfer market, after another summer of large editions – unless there were deviations from their team. Certainly, one of their defenders attracts interest from elsewhere.
Right back Nahuel Molina has been flattered to mislead a large part of his career in Atletico, and with Marcos Llorente and Marc Pubill as the right-back options, Los Colchoneros are open for an output for the correct range. On Thursday it turned out that Juventus had opened conversations with Atletico about a deal for Molina.
Molina is satisfied to stay if an offer does not tempt him, and Marca says he had the chance to move to Bournemouth. Atletico was open for a deal after a formal offer of € 20 million, but Molina was not enthusiastic about a step to become a member of Andoni Iraola in England. They say that the idea is that Molina will continue with the Metropolitano for the time being.
Los Rojiblancos, however, has set up some plans in case Molina will leave, and it is mentioned by Marca that they can strengthen somewhere else. Despite the arrival of Giacomo Raspadori, Atletico likes to continue to sign another attacking player who can beat their husband.
Hence the fact that Atletico inquired about Juventus wing player Nicolas Gonzalez. He is one of the different options on their shortlist, including Takefusa Kubo, Kang-in Lee, Matias Fernandez-Pardo or even Valencia-wing player Diego Lopez, who has just renewed his deal. It is noted that deals for Kubo and Kang-in are probably out of reach because of the finances involved.
Every player who came in would probably work from the right and offer competition to Giuliano Simeone. Last season, Molina or Llorente sometimes played ahead, but none of that duo, Pablo Barrios, Rodrigo de Paul or Rodrigo Riquelme, who spent time there last season, were natural solutions.
