Parma defender Giovanni Leoni has signed for Liverpool and takes their summer transfer from more than £ 300 million.
Liverpool pays a reimbursement of £ 26 million plus add-ons for the 18-year-old, who has signed a six-year contract and is the sixth major signing of the club, with their company now £ 321.5 million in transfer costs.
That is currently the third largest transfer edition of a Premier League club in one window.
If Liverpool would close a deal to sign Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, which could cost well above £ 100 million, then the Reds could become the greatest summer transfer plasters of all time.
However, Liverpool earned more than £ 200 million this summer by selling seven players for costs, including £ 65 million for Luis Diaz, £ 56.6 million for Darwin Nunez and £ 35 million for Jarell Quansah.
The Reds saw the competition of Elite Italian clubs and Premier League parties for Leoni, who was determined, his choice was a switch to the Premier League champions of Arne Slot.
Leoni will participate in the first team for this season, with every suggestion of a loan movement completely excluded. He will attend Liverpool's season opener in Anfield against Bournemouth, Live on Sky Sports.
Liverpool focused on reinforcements in the middle after the departure from Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen, in which Ibrahima-Konate entered Anfield in the last year of his deal.
