Legend who fought Mirko Cro Cop, Mark Hunt and 330lb beast names iconic rival as his toughest opponent

During his incredible kickboxing career, Ernesto Hoost shared the Ring with some colleague fighting port icons.

The four-fold K-1 champion left a remarkable legacy as one of the greatest of all time after he had participated for the last time in 2014.

After entering into so many different styles and challenges in his career, Hoost recently gave his insight into combating uncomfortable opponents such as Dricus du Plessis for UFC 319.

Although Hoost is still frustrated by his shocking losses for Bob Sapp, he also has a number of real legacy-definating victories.

Several of these victories came across a rival who, according to him, was the most difficult opponent he had confronted.

From Bob Sapp to Mark Hunt to Mirko Cro Cop, Ernesto Hoost fought a number of big names that crossed to mixed martial arts.

Perhaps not surprising, the opponent he believes, however, presented him the most difficult test a colleague -Dutch kickboxer.

Hoost collided six times with Peter Aerts, where the two men in all the different stages of their career put it against each other.

Despite the beating of Aerts at four times, while Hoost Bloody Elbow told in an exclusive interview, he always had to be ready for his opponent to push him to the limit.

“Yes, I think it was Peter, Peter Aerts. Because when I was winning or lost, it was always difficult. It was never an easy fight, never easy to fight with Peter because Peter would always put pressure on me. He would always come forward and not all fighters would always do that, even if he lost, he would always come forward.”

Since he withdrew from Fighting, Ernesto Hoost has been able to achieve success in Coaching -Seminars, in which some of them take place alongside Peter Aerts.

The success that the two men had when they worked together, in the end they both led them to the Senshi training camp, which will return to next month.

He told Bloody Elbow the story of how he initially became involved in this, and how it was not planned between them that he and Aerts would reunite under this roof.

“If I do it together with Peter, it's like making one and one three or something because we both do a seminar, attract a lot of people. The seminar was a success and then many organizations and people asked us to come and do a seminar.

“They asked me, I think they also asked Peter. Then there was Senshi. I didn't know the name Senshi at the time. We actually decided to do that without knowing it, so we met at the airport.”
