Former champ suggests UFC ‘force-fed’ Khamzat Chimaev in Dricus du Plessis fight prediction

Not everyone buys the hype from Khamzat Chimaev.

The 14-0 Khamzat Chimaev has the potential to join Khabib Nurmagomedov and Ilia Topuria as an undefeated world champion when he fights against the middleweight King Drus du Plessis on UFC 319.

The middleweight title match this Saturday goes from Chicago, Illinois, in what Dana White has called the 'Fight of the Year'.

It is a long time ago for Chimaev, who fights about once a year. The highly recommended wrestler wins on former champions Robert Whittaker, Kamaru Usman (in the short term), and former title finer Gilbert Burns.

Despite what he has shown in the Octagon, one of the greatest good weights of all time is to believe Chimaev Dethrones du Plessis.

Tyron Woodley takes Dricus du Plessis above Khamzat Chimaev on UFC 319

Former UFC champion Welterweight Tyron Woodley does not think that Chimaev is at least so great, at least not yet.

This is the first title fight of Chimaev. At the age of 31, the undefeated star has never seen the championship rounds before and he has only seen a third round twice.

Woodley chooses the more experienced du Plessis to retain the title against Chimaev, which would be his third title defense after beating Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland.

“Khamzat is good, but he's not great,” said Woodley Action Network.

“He could be and probably will be, but he is not great now.

“DDP must be a spoiler, stay focused. He is displayed in fighting and beaten people like Stylbender [Israel Adesanya]. He is a bit like the Underdog, the People's Champion. He doesn't talk much waste, but he wins a lot of fighting. I think he could win this fight, “Woodley said about Du Persis.

“I just go DDP because I hate if they try to force a star, I hate it when they try to take care of someone …

“You let them fight. Let them find out what they are going to do. And I feel that there has been a lot of care of him, and there is a lot of talk and a lot of hype,” Woodley said about Chimaev.

“I give him his credit, but I just play the wildcard. I'm going with DDP.”

UFC Star's different choices for Dricus du Persis vs. Khamzat Chimaev

Du Plessis is stylistically vs. Chimaev one of the most interesting fights we have seen in the recent memory.

The challenger Chimaev is currently the gambling favorite above the champion du Plessis, who is just as unorthodox and completed well when they come.

Former DDP -Vijand Darren Till and Chimaev's heaviest opponent Kamaru Usman support Chimaev to win the title in the UFC 319 headliner.

Gilbert Burns, another hunter who gave Chimaev a run for his money, and former middleweight champion Sean Strickland has predicted Du Plessis to beat Chimaev. That also applies to Chris Weidman.

We will see who is right on Saturday evening.
