Darren Till warns Dricus du Plessis that Khamzat Chimaev has stopped about training

The issue of Khamzat Chimaev plastered during the start of his UFC career was health problems outside the Octagon. Between weight missers and a case of Covid so bad that he briefly withdrew from sport, his health has been a harder opponent than one of the 14 men he fought.

And an important element that Darren Till and others could see in the gym was his insistence on overtraining. The Swede is said to work as the point to make himself sick, even before he let his UFC run.

“Arman Tsarukyan, a man with whom Khamzat and I have trained in Thailand, told me that he is no longer overtraining,” said Bloody Elbow in an exclusive chat. “So I think Khamzat will be good for the five rounds.

“I have always trained extremely hard, but then I reign it, that is one thing with Khamzat is that he does it. That is not good either, but that is a part of learning and experience, he gets that all now and I just don't see how he won't win on Saturday.

“But in the end this will be his most difficult fight and opponent … It is a great fight. I am in Ireland because my sister is getting married, but I will hide my phone under the table and I can't wait.”

Darren Till believes that Khamzat will stop Chimaev Drus du Persis within one round

Regarding a prediction, Till believes that after training Chimaev, Chimaev can get a quick stopping and the belt can claim.

“I trained with Khamzat for two years and I fought Dricus, so I am the best man to comment on this fight,” until he continued. “I have the most experience … Dricus is a phenomenal athlete and hunter, he is a real Vechtman.

“He is strange, fighting in terms of skill, but I see Khamzat hit him first or a second round. I am interested in seeing if it is going to be five rounds … It is one of those fights that will have us on the edge of our seats and I can't wait.

“If I had to break it down, Dricus is such a formidable power, he is so strong. But Khamzat? He is ruthless. It will be like Hulk vs Thanos, I am a big fan of Avengers!”
