Eberechi Eze to Tottenham transfer accelerates as reason for Arsenal U-turn emerges

Arsenal registered their interest in Ebereechi Eze earlier this summer, but Tottenham is now the favorites to sign him from Crystal Palace before the Deadline Day of the Transfer

Tottenham increases their pursuit of Crystal Palace star Ebereechi Eze, no longer in the race with Arsenal. Eze, 27, is the top goal of Spurs after fellow playmaker James Maddison had sustained a knee injury in the preseason and excluded him for the most of the campaign.

The International of England will be the opening match from Palace to Chelsea on Sunday, with conversations between the two clubs that will continue and are expected to claim in the next 48 hours. Eze's £ 68 million release clause went on Friday and Tottenham is negotiating something under that figure.

Eze would like to play Champions League football and the midfielder is open to a move through North Londs to Spurs of Arsenal. But the latter dropped their interest. After making contact earlier in the summer transfer window, Arsenal has now come to the conclusion that they are happy with their current attacking options. The decision of Ethan Nwaneri, a long-term contract, is also part of their reasoning, because the side of Mikel Arteta has high expectations on the 18-year-old. Another young person, Max Dowman, also waits in the wings. The graduated academy blinded in the preseason and fans are enthusiastic to see him in action.

The Arsenal season starts on Sunday, while traveling to Manchester United. Spurs got their campaign on Saturday and beat Burnley 3-0 on the home floor to give the new manager Thomas Frank the perfect start of life in North London.

All eyes will be aimed at whether Eze is involved in Palace's Gordin Raoger in Chelsea. During his Friday Pre -Match press conference, Eagles Baas Oliver Glasner said that both Eze and Marc Guehi, who are a target for Liverpool, would start -although new reports suggest that the situation has changed.

“Marc trained with us all week, every training session, the same with EBS,” said Glasner about the couple. “They prepared the best way for the Chelsea match on Sunday afternoon.

Has Arsenal made the right decision about Ebereechi Eze? Let us know in the commentary section.

“I have been in the football business for too long, so I know things can happen at any time of every day. If you ask me now, I expect that both Marc and EBs will start on Sunday.”

Guehi and Eze must be sold before the Deadline Day of the transfer on Monday 1 September, Palace is planning to invest again. Leicester's Bilal El Khannouss is one of the players that they reportedly focus to replace Eze.
