Diogo Jota’s heartbroken wife and parents attend Wolves vs Man City match

The wife and parents of Diogo Jota attended the Wolves vs City match and watched, while fans brought a moving tribute to the ex-Wanderers player.

The game started earlier tonight with Diogo's wife and parents who were seen in the stands.

Wolves fans gave a heart -warming tribute to the Late Portuguese attacker before the game started at Molineux.

In their first Premier League match since the tragedy, fans saw a minute of silence for the Liverpool player who was at the Wolves for five years before joining the Reds.

Jota's family looked up and looked emotional while Wolves fans in the South Bank unfolded a huge banner who showed Jota in the gold of his old club.

The move was confronted with a thunderous applause in the stands while Jota's family looked at the look out.

A big banner stopped by the fans “We Will Remember You Walk in Fields of Gold” in reference to Jota's favorite song, Fields of Gold by Sting.

Fans who sat opposite the stadium stopped and sign in honor of the deceased baller who was killed on 3 July with his brother at a crash in North Spain.

Jota could also be seen on the front of the competition program dressed in the gold of the Wanderers.

The parents of the Liverpool player, wife Rute Cardoso, former Wolves player Ruben Neves and his international manager Roberto Martinez were all present.

After the banner display there was applause from fans and the cheering of Jota's name before the kick-off.

It comes after comparable tribute to Jota in Anfield was made before and after the 4-2 victory of Liverpool over Bournemouth.

Jota moved to Wolves from Atletico Madrid in July 2017 before he went to Liverpool in 2020.

The deceased player was recorded in the Wolverhampton Wanderers Hall of Fame last month.

The club has released a 100 pages commemorative program for the competition, dedicated to Jota and his brother.

It contained a number of never before media behind the scenes with the icon, and including a tribute of the players and employees closest to him.

A supporters group, the old Gold Pack, recently made a fundraising for the Portuguese player.

Banners were designed by the group and placed on chairs in the stands for supporters to use during this tribute.

Looking at the tribute of the family of the stands and friends visibly looked emotional.

Jose Sa seemed to fight tears, because both parties stood in line for a minute.

Jota helped the Wolves to win the title of the championship before spending two full seasons with them.

Some of the flower tribute to the deceased player will be displayed in a permanent tribute in the Wolves Museum.
