Carlos Prates stuns Joe Rogan with ‘horrific’ spinning elbow walkoff knockout at UFC 319

UFC Welterweight Competent Carlos Prates has already booked another fight after its peak-reel victory over UFC 319.

The UFC Welterweight Showdown between KO artists Carlos Prates and Geoff Neal was expected to offer fireworks on the UFC 319 head card. But few could expect what happened as soon as Prates and Neal clashed in the Octagon.

Prates and Neal fought in a long -awaited fight that had to take place earlier this year, and it was ultimately worth waiting at UFC 319. Both welter weights are known for offering highlights in the cage in the cage, including Prates, which came in UFC 319 that came back from his first promotional defeat.

When the fight began, chaos followed that offered one of the craziest knockouts of the year.

Carlos Prates came in the debate 'Ko of the Year' with ridiculously rotating elbow on UFC 319

Prates and Neal wasted little time to get in the Octagon in round 1, because both hunters landed heavy strokes that visibly amazed their opponent. Neal opened with an unorthodox approach to legs with a high volume, before he quickly switched to his boxing-heavy style.

But Prates was able to resist Neal's early barrage, with a series of annoying body photos that quickly delayed Neal. Prates found his timing halfway through the round 1 with sham movements and weaving from the progress of Neal.

While the seconds typed in round 1, Prates threw a rotating elbow that landed in the middle of Neal's forehead, immediately struck him unconscious and turned the United Center in a razier.

Prates' Spinning Elbow Ko has added to what a turbulent year has been for finishing technology. Only a few days ago the middleweight Christian Leroy Duncan Eryk turned out differently with a rotating elbow at UFC Vegas 109.

After UFC 319, Prates was guaranteed a lock for a Brazilian home on a card later this year by UFC CEO Dana White.

Immediately after beating Neal, White Prates told him that they will find him a fight on the upcoming UFC Rio card, excluding Charles Oliveira vs. Rafael Fiziev. Prates called for a collision with former UFC Welterweight champion Leon Edwards during the event.

Prates entered UFC 319 after his first promotional defeat against Ian Machado Garry due to a unanimous decision in UFC Kansas City earlier this year. The loss broke the 11-Fight winning streak from Prates, with knockouts about Neil Magny, Li Jingliang and Charles Radtke.

Neal returned to the Octagon for the first time since a first round victory over former UFC champion Rafael Dos Anjos on UFC 308 in October. He lost back-to-back battles to Garry and Shavkat Rakhmonov before he switched off DOS Anjos.

Prates and Neal would come to UFC 314 earlier this year before Neal withdrew due to injury. Prates was then again planned for the short-notice Garry Main Event Fight while Neal recovered from his ailment.
