Conor McGregor puts long-time Khamzat Chimaev feud aside to congratulate him on UFC 319 title win

Former UFC Tweedivisie Champion Conor McGregor sent a message to Khamzat Chimaev after his UFC 319 victory.

Khamzat Chimaev completed his dominant run in the UFC Octagon with a stunning version over Dricus du Plessis on UFC 319. In a five-round clinic, Chimaev du Plessis defeated a unanimous decision, including a 10-8 round on all three scores'.

On his rise of the UFC title, Chimaev made his part of enemies on the road. He started with feud with people like Paulo Costa and others and has a backup of his wild style with a fearless persona outside the Octagon.

Conor McGregor sends stylish message to Khamzat Chimaev after dominant title winnings

In the run-up to UFC 319, Chimaev placed himself in thin air when he surpassed 10 million followers of social media on his Instagram account, in the footsteps of UFC Superstars Conor McGregor and Ilia Topuria. Topuria has disabled the most recently Charles Oliveira on UFC 317 and McGregor has not fought anymore since he injured his leg against Dustin Poirier on UFC 264.

While Chimaev rose in the UFC Welterweight Division Before he made the full -time switch to the middleweight, he repeatedly proclaimed McGregor for a fight. The tensions between Chimaev and McGregor quickly escalated online, with McGregor Chimaev's 'Rat Lip' mocking in referral to a scar on the newly beaten middleweight champion.

Despite their difficult past, McGregor has long since lived up with Chimaev aside to congratulate the new UFC middleweight title holder on his performance.

In a recent message to X, McGregor responded to the victory of Chimaev's UFC title.

“Chechen's first UFC champion! Congratulations!” McGregor posted.

McGregor's double rival, Nate Diaz, made another approach in his response to Chimaev's victory over UFC 319. Diaz and Chimaev had UFC 279 heads before Chimaev's failed weight led the fight in the hours prior to the event.

In the meantime, McGregor may be less than a year away from return to the Octagon after he had confirmed his intentions to end his long break.

Conor McGregor receives approval from UFC CEO Dana White to Headline card in the White House

After the US President Donald Trump had announced the planned UFC event in the White House next year, McGregor and Jon Jones were one of the first hunters to put their names in the hat to head the card. White recently expressed an in -depth hesitation by giving Jones the headliner spot after some of the violations of the former heavyweight champion outside the Octagon.

McGregor was supposed to give UFC 303 against Michael Chandler last year before he withdrew because of injury. He has lost three of his last four fights in general and has not won in the cage since he has eliminated Donald Cerrone at UFC 246.

As far as the next step is for Chimaev, he could possibly return to the Octagon at UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi, after White had entertained the possibility during the UFC 319 Post-Fight Press Conference. Chimaev could possibly be confronted against Anthony Hernandez or Reinier de Ridder after both middle weights had recently achieved impressive victories.
