Altay Bayindir – 4
I nodded for Onana, but his blunder undo all United's good early work. Had to be stronger while he fluttered to the corner and Calafiori gifted the opening goal.
Leny Yoro – 7
Still only 19, but the French defender looks a class law. Martinelli stopped and then changed side to keep an eye on Saka after Shaw left. Will be an important part of the defense of United for the coming years.
Matthijs de Ligt – 7
Showed his defensive qualities when Gyokees went on and when the Swede was withdrawn to the hour he knew he had done his work. Great leaves Blok to deny Saka a second goal for the Gunners.
Luke Shaw – 6
A bit of a surprise to see him start, but a sign of the belief that the manager has in him and hopefully his injury problems are now behind him. Saka has put a decent work before his lack of playing time was overtaken and Maguire replaced him.
Diogo Dalot – 6
Nice link with Mbeumo and got a few decent positions on the right, but without a center there was no one to choose from. Replaced by Amad early in the second half, because United needed more attacking threat.
Casemiro – 6
More talk about a move in the review, but here he started the new season in the middle. Used his experience to remain united in the predominance before they made way for fresh legs from Ugarte.
Bruno Fernandes – 6
A few questions about where the skipper will play with the new attackers who arrive, but he can play deeper if necessary and showed that here. Almost an equalizer made with cross for Sesko header.
Patrick Dorgu – 6
It seems that he has now settled after he has taken the time to find his feet after January. An early attempt cut wide, but came so close to the equalizer with the shot that hit the pole. Nice cross for Mbeemo too.
Bryan Mbeumo – 8
Early coincidence shot directly on Raya, overhead shovel and brought a flying salvation from Raya. Huge promising first appearance at OT for the Cameroon Vooruit.
Mason Mount – 6
Got the nod to start when many expected Sesko. Saw an attempt blocked, a nice link game and did a work in the midfield of Arsenal, but then made way for the new £ 74 million forward halfway through the second half.
Matheus Cunha – 8
Super running through a crowd of players before he shot Raya, showed what he is all about. Caused the normally safe backline of Arsenal many problems. United fans are going to love the Brazilian.

Amad Diallo (for Dalot, 55) – 6
United gave more of an attacking threat, but could not find any way.
Manuel Ugarte (for Casemiro, 65) – 5
A long distance shot high and wide fired when he should have done better.
Benjamin Sesko (for Mount, 65) – 5
Huge ovation for the new boy and a few half chances – should have been earlier.
Harry Maguire (for Shaw, 80) – 5
Booked before he even had a touch – then pushed for an equalizer.
