Man United 0-1 Arsenal PLAYER RATINGS: How did new boys Gyokeres and Sesko fare?

Manchester United 2.0 Under Ruben Amorim suffered a all too well-known defeat at Old Trafford When Arsenal hit 1-0 winners during the opening weekend.

A disastrous error from the goalkeeper Altay Bayindir of Manchester United had Riccardo Calafiori nodged in the sole purpose of a pulsating game.

The £ 200 million attack by Manchester United in Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko all were given playing time, just like Arsenal's large striker signing, Viktor Gyokores, all to a variety of success.

So who delivered in the largest competition of the opening weekend? And who came well with expectations? Nathan Salt from Daily Mail Sport and Raath al-Samarrai were present at Old Trafford to judge both sets of players.

Manchester United (3-4-2-1)

Altay Bayindir – 4.5

Incredibly weak keepers When you try to palpate an arsenal angle that Ricardo Calafiori gave the opener on the line. The preference for Andre Onana, but, just like the Cameroonian, always gives the impression that he has a rick in him.

Leny Yoro – 5.5

Was dragged to too many wrestling competitions with Viktor Gyokees and noticed that he bullied most of those occasions. He is a fantastic player, but this was not an afternoon where he showed off with those attributes.

Matthjis de Ligt – 7

Got the nod over Harry Maguire to anchor the back three as the central center back. The way he brought Bukayo Saka to bring Old Trafford back to life in the second half of a sign of his growing self -confidence as a player in Manchester United.

Luke Shaw – 6.5

Has recently taken a lot of criticism of the chin about his lack of availability, but here he was a real shift here for 90 minutes. The fact that Arsenal was limited to few to no opportunities after their goal was not least helped by the experience of Shaw, who won the role for the young Ayden Heaven.

Diogo Dalot – 6

Gabriel Martinelli stopped and was also a willing runner in the other way. Got his delivery in the box wrong with more than once, but this was solid from the Portuguese. He is one of Amorim's familiar lieutenants for a reason.

Casemiro – 7

The often malignant midfielder was not interested in leaving the club this summer and promised to fight his minutes. Here he made the most tackles in the game and covered 7.5 km. Left to a standing ovation.

Bruno Fernandes – 6

First, a positive one: Bruno Fernandes did not have to play every position on the field. When United suffers, this is often what he tends to do. He was more positionally disciplined here, but just couldn't sew the last pass or shot.

Patrick Dorgu – 6.5

So much more adventurous than he was last season. The post rattled for half an hour with a toxic strike and caused a constant threat wide. In a system that depends on the wingbacks, this must be a sign of things that come from Dorgu. Booked.

Bryan Mbeumo – 8

Best player on the field on his Premier League debut for Manchester United. He seemed to be Calafiori on skating everywhere and time and again while he was on the counterattack. Forced the rescue of the match from David Raya with a second half of a header. The exact type of player Manchester United has shouted.

Mason Mount – 7

He has had a lot of false dawn since he became a member of Chelsea, but with England manager Thomas Tuchel looked up, this represented one of his better competitions in United Red. Easy to see why Ruben Amorim loves him so much with the efforts he makes.

Matheus Cunha – 7.5

Started as the No. 9 but drove over the front line. The dynamics he brings to this team will be central to how Amorim wants this group to play. At the end of the first half, a first united goal was denied at Raya's fingertips. Exciting with full flight.

Manager: Ruben Amorim – 5

Came as the loser, but these are the types of performance that show a better future. In addition to none of the defeats, such proof yielded last season. But he lost in the Premier League – again. That cannot continue to happen, how optimistic things look like.

Subs

Amad Diallo (for Diogo Dalot, 55) – 7.5

Manuel Ugarte (for Casemiro, 65) – 6

Benjamin Sesko (for Mason Mount, 65) – 6

Harry Maguire (for Luke Shaw, 80)

Arsenal (4-3-3)

David Raya – 7

Apart from a sloppy early moment when he was almost in possession by Cunha, a strong performance. Two very good saves to stop Cunha and Mbeumo. 7

Ben White – 6

Caused some concern by coming out halfway through the second half. Occasionally guilty of straying too far forward.

William Saliba – 6.5

Should have been tighter for Dorgu in the first half of the movement that United Wideman saw the mail hit. Settled in the game and had a good struggle with Cunha.

Gabriel Magalhaes – 6.5

Weak in a few challenges against Cunha and, just like Saliba, occasionally seemed to rattle through the speed of the game. Cover well when Calafiori went on the field on his adventures.

Riccardo Calafiori – 6.5

The opener and largely solid scored in a duel with Mbuemo, but Forward the space for Dalot and Mbeumo regularly runs for operation. Booked. 6.5

Martin Odegaard – 7.5

Arsenal's best player for great periods – he enjoys these hectic games in his ability to find space and time in the chaos. Continues to set the pace for the entire side.

Martin Zebimendi – 7

Clumsy early error on Fernandes and unable to establish a dominant presence, but subtly strong with a series of short, lines -breaking balls. Improved in the second half.

Declan Rice – 6.5

Suits where he had gone with an assistant of a set for 1-0, but will have the feeling that he and Zubimendi may have done better to control the middle. Went close to a late free kick.

Bukayo Saka – 5

Received some service from Odegaard but had trouble finding Gyokees and had a limited one-on-one success against Dorgu.

Viktor Gyokees – 5

Worked hard and occasionally bullying with his strength, but an overwhelming debut. A few loose accents and no photos before they are replaced in the hour. Struggled with hold-up play and Arsenal left under pressure without an out-ball.

Gabriel Martinelli – 5.5

A version that is usually remarkable for an air shot when he tried a bicycle kick. Worked hard enough but no real impact. Replaced after an hour.

Manager – Mikel Arteta – 7

I can't win a victory over Manchester United, but his instructions for White and Calafiori to bombard was a rental wire act that almost failed. The same for ruthless playing of defense.

Noni Madueke (for Gabriel Martinelli, 60) – 6

Kai Havertz (for Viktor Gyokeres, 60) – 6

Jurrien Timber (for Ben White, 70) – 6.5

Myles Lewis -Skelly (for Riccardo Calafiori, 70) – 6

Mikel Merino (for Declan Rice, 83)
