BILD: Nkunku – Bayern’s top transfer threatens to collapse

A setback for the transfer efforts of FC Bayern for Christopher Nunku (27)! According to Bild, the switch from Chelsea's striker to the German record champions runs the danger to fall through.

The Agent of Nunku, Pini Zahavi (82), today spoke with Chelsea bosses on the sidelines of the 0-0 Premier League Home Game of the Blues against Crystal Palace. He then had bad news for the club of Munich. The current trend: Nunku (contract until 2029) will remain in London for at least another year and the ties with Chelsea have been paved. Nevertheless, there is still hope, especially because according to Bild, according to Bild himself.

Although the five -time English champions actually wanted to release Nunku, Bayern is far from written. Sports director Max Eberl (51) is particularly dedicated to a possible signing of the Frenchman. He has negotiated intensively with the London Club in recent days. In contrast to the Woltemade Poker game, Eberl is clearly the main negotiator in the NUGHU deal and not CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen (57).

The deal is in danger

According to Bild, Bayern only wants to loan Nunku, while Chelsea prefer a sale. The German champions had high expectations that Zahavi would announce positive news after today's meeting. That was not the case – the opposite! The deal is now seriously in danger.

Nunku has been on Bayern list for months. In 2023 he moved from RB Leipzig to Stamford Bridge for € 60 million. Eberl wanted to sign Nunku in the winter. At the time, however, the attacking star was too expensive – Chelsea asked for € 70 million, which was clearly too much for Bayern.

After the deal for Stuttgart -striker Nick Woltemade (23) apparently fell on, the next transfer from Bayern threatens to fail. After the departure of Kingsley Coman (29/for around € 35 million to Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia), the Munich team urgently needs offensive reinforcements.

It is possible that the search will continue on 1 September until the end of the transfer window.
