Manchester United is strongly connected this summer with a move for Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba and the 21-year-old has spoken after he had taken up against Fulham for the Seagulls against Fulham
Carlos Baleba has spoken after he is shown in the Brighton opening game of the season, despite a strong interest in his services of Manchester United. The Red Devils have spent large this summer and have postponed more than £ 200 million on Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
Ruben Amorim is hopeful that the Trio United will provide more advanced in the last third part and he also wants to strengthen his midfield, with Baleba appearing as their best target earlier this summer.
They entered into conversations with Brighton earlier this month, but United is not willing to pay the £ 120 million that the seagulls are demanding. However, reports have claimed that Baleba is enthusiastic about moving to Old Trafford and is willing to keep insisting on it, even if that means waiting until next summer.
Despite the constant speculation about his future, Baleba did start for Brighton when they went with Fulham in their Premier League opener on Saturday in their Premier League opener. And the 21-year-old went to social media after the game and placed a series of snaps with the caption: “Only I do what I like most.
“It had fun to play at home with the boys. Nothing new here, only my song and a haircut.”
The caption of Baleba seems to be a reference to comments from Brighton -boss Fabian Hurzeler prior to the game when he was questioned about the future of the midfielder. When asked if he believes that Baleba will remain in Brighton, Hurzeler replied: “I am very, very confident.
“I have not seen any change, he has only changed his hair. I think that is the change he has made in the last two weeks. But in general he seems to be in a really good place, he enjoys it with his teammates, he enjoys being a Brighton player. I have not seen any big changes and he is an option to start tomorrow.”
Amorim also spoke the rumors for the opener of United against Arsenal. When asked if he wants to bring in a new midfielder this summer, he replied: “I am really happy with our players.
“They work very well, we have different players for that position, so we are willing to win a game with our players. Maybe Mason Mount is a player I think it can play in that position if we want something else.
'But then we're going to figure it out [during] The season. We have players to cope with games in the Premier League. “
