Ben Gannon Doak transfer news: Bournemouth sign winger from Liverpool in a deal worth up to £25m

Bournemouth has completed the signing of teenage wing Ben Gannon Doak from Liverpool for around £ 25 million.

Sky Sports News understands that the deal for the 19-year-old includes a purchasing option, which was an essential condition for Liverpool to agree to the transfer.

The Scotland International has signed a five -year -old deal in the Vitality Stadium and joins the Cherries after they had been sold to Brentford for £ 42.5 million to Brentford.

The sale of Doak means that Liverpool has now sold eight players this summer for a combined total of £ 227.6 million, which £ 321 million spent on new signing sessions.

Sky Sports News reported earlier in the window that Doak regularly sought first team football this season.

It is understanding that Porto had made an offer on Doak earlier this summer, with Stuttgart, Bologna and Monaco among the other European clubs that viewed a movement for the teenager.

A large number of Premier League clubs, including Nottingham Forest, West Ham, Leeds, Everton and Wolves, were also interested in the Scotland International this summer.

Liverpool rejected the bids of around £ 20 million from Crystal Palace and Ipswich in the January transfer window.

DOAK spent on loan in Middlesbrough last season, scored three goals and added seven assists in 24 championship performances before an injury shorted its season in January.
