England no. 1 Pickford dived in the right way, but could not come down quickly enough to stop the punishment.
Pickford had a bow for a penalty of the names of Leeds players written in his bottle.
But some fans believe it missed the name of Nmecha, with the midfielder an unlikely option for Leeds, since he had only been on the field for six minutes.
A fan responded and said, “Pickford looked at his bottle and it seemed that he had no notes for Nmecha LMAO.”
Another added: “No chance that Pickford has written Nmecha on his bottle →”
A third wrote: “You think they had Nmecha taken it because Pickford would have studied/acquainted the usual Pentrikkers of Leeds?!”
And another noticed: “Pickford did not find Nmecha's name on the water bottle, so he decided to have a drink instead.”
Nmecha himself agreed with that sentiment and he thinks Pickford may have tried to put him out.

He said, “I think that was a bit of a bluff to be honest. I don't think I was one of the names there.”
Pickford has used a bow for penalty in the past, even when he saved an Erling Haaland-Spot-Kick last season.
A Snap from his bottle showed that the keeper had the chance that Haaland went left, right or in the middle.
