Real Madrid and Vinicius Junior remain silent when it comes to negotiations about a new deal for the Brazilian. He only has two years left on his deal, normally around the time that most major clubs such as their stars are tied in the long term, but it seems that there will be no deal for some time.
Earlier it had been reported that Vinicius Junior deliberately did not respond to the most recent range of Real Madrid, despite the fact that Los Blancos believed that a deal was closed at some point. ESPN has confirmed that this is the case, where his agents believe that it is 'not logical' to accept it at the moment.
Vinicius currently earns around € 17 million a year, the second highest salary in the team behind Kylian Mbappe. Real Madrid was willing to close a deal for € 20 million per year, an increase of around 15%, but apart from what his agents Fred Pena and Thasilo Soares ask. They wanted the same salary, but with an extra € 10 million in bonuses per year that Vinicius could take to a maximum of € 30 million per year. His representation feels that the wage increase is too small to justify a deal until 2030.
Real Madrid started conversations with Vinicius in February, partly because of the interest from Saudi Arabia in him. His camp says, however, that Saudi -Arabia no longer chases Vinicius and that the last time they spoke with the super power was in Decemeber. In the meantime, his agents also want to see how Xabi Alonso Vinicius uses this season, after reports that he could have been during the semi -final of the Club World Cup. They are also concerned about the role of the press during negotiations and their impact on public opinion.
It is an important campaign for Vinicius, which has had difficulty finding his best shape since the arrival of Kylian Mbappe. While the Frenchman increasingly seemed to be himself in the backend of last season, Vinicius struggled with him.
