Atletico Madrid has been by far the busiest side of La Liga this summer, spends € 175 million on nine players and loads a whole XI in exchange for € 68 million. However, Los Rojiblancos have not yet been done.
The word that comes from the Metropolitano is that Los Rojiblancos do not think about a new arrival – unless there is an important output. Last week it turned out that Diego Simeone still liked to bring in a winger who can beat a defender, and Juventus' Nicolas Gonzalez came forward as a potential addition was Nahuel Molina to leave. Cadena Ser says that this will remain the case with less than two weeks to go on the market.
Alexander Sorloth could be that output. The Norwegian attacker was the last thing Simeone turned to Espanyol in their League, and Objetivo Atleti says he is unhappy that he is in the pecking order behind Giacomo Raspadori and Antoine Griezmann. He has now asked to leave the club because he does not want to become a bank player for a second season.
The club from their own is open to an exit. They have told Sorloth that if he can bring an offer of € 35 million, he can leave. Atletico also wants to protect a replacement for him first. Matteo Moretto has confirmed that this is the case and says that Athleti is looking for options for him. Napoli has followed Sorloth in the past, but did not make contact with Los Rojiblancos.
In recent years, Atletico has been associated with another Juventus player in Dusan Vlahovic, and he also remains a potential exit of the Bianconeri. Objetivo Atleti explains that he is an option on the table. The Serbian attacker has only had a year over his deal.
Los Colchoneros brought Sorloth from Villarreal last summer as their big signing for partner Julian Alvarez, but Simeone did not have him in his plans for the starting XI. Although he had spent € 32 million on him, Sorloth largely contributed from the bank and despite that their top scorer in La Liga ended, with 20 goals, but never completely convinced.
