The future of Gianluigi Donnarumma will be balanced with Manchester City under the clubs that are interested in bringing the Paris Saint-Germain star to England
Manchester City has opened conversations with Paris Saint-Germain about a movement for Gianlugii Donnarumma. Donnarumma, goalkeeper of Italy, was tipped to leave Paris this summer after the arrival of Lucas Chevalier, with the side of Pep Guardiola among the potential buyers.
City has already signed one keeper this summer, with James Trafford reflecting at the club at Burnley at the club. Stefan Ortega is expected to leave the Etihad Stadium, but Ederson's first choice was also able to leave to make way for a Donnarummma -Woop.
Ederson was left outside the City team on Saturday for the Premier League opener at Wolves, with Trafford Starting and Ortega on the couch. Guardiola said the Brazilian was missed by illness, but reports of a Galatasaray switch collect pace.
According to Football Italia, there is still work to be done on the Donnarumma allowance. The city is said that it is not willing to get the asking price of PSG of around £ 40 million, but the prospect of getting the high wages of the keeper of the bill can convince the French club to lower their demands.
Similarly, it is assumed that the city is at odds with Galatasaray when it comes to the appreciation of Ederson. The Turkish side value The Brazilian for £ 10 million or less, but the Premier League side keeps up with more, despite being in the last year of his contract.
Donnarumma has been at PSG since 2021, when he joined a free from AC Milan and helped the Ligue 1 champions to win from last season's Champions League. However, he was omitted from the recent Super Cup team, with manager Luis Enrique who explained the situation.
“I can only say good things about Gigio Donnarumma,” the boss told reporters. “He is without a doubt one of the best players in his position and he is even better as a person, but we were looking for a different profile of goalkeeper.”
Guardiola refused to answer when he was asked on Saturday if Ederson had played his last game for the club. Instead, he tried to concentrate on the performance of Trafford after the 22-year-old had made a long-awaited debut for the club.
“I am so happy for James. For the fact that he is an Academy player and he is a city fan and made his debut in the Premier League here,” Guardiola told BBC Radio 5 live after the 4-0 win in Molineux. “He played really well and I am really satisfied. I like it if the young players can play in the Academy of Man City, it's really, really good.”
If Galatasaray eventually signed Edererson, it would see him reunited with former city wing Leroy Sane. German international Sane came earlier in the summer with a free transfer from Bayern Munich.
