Atletico Madrid and Juventus €10m apart on double deal

Atletico Madrid is still open to business this summer, despite previous reports that they were no longer on the market for more signing sessions. Already this summer Los Colchoneros brought in eight new players for an amount of € 175 million, but director of Football Carlos Bucero is noticeably aggressive in the market.

The newest player who could leave is Nahuel Molina. The Argentina International is connected to and out with a move this summer, with Juventus as his most likely destination. Molina has already rejected a move to Bournemouth this summer, even though the club is open to accepting a deal of € 20 million for him.

Nevertheless, GDS (via MD) claim that Atletico and Juventus remain separate by € 10 million on their appreciation from Molina. They want to get € 25 million for Molina, but the Bianconeri are reluctant to spend more than € 15 million on him. Although the difference can depend on forms of payment, the above information would suggest that they can meet in the middle. Molina made the switch to Atletico for € 20 million, but has difficulty making an impact and is now 27 years old.

Last week Atletico was also connected to Nicolas Gonzalez, also from Juventus. Diego Simeone reportedly wants to bring in a broad player for the end of the window that a defender can accept. The Italian outlet also says that the two parties also have € 10 million apart.

On Tuesday evening, Marcos Duran claims that Simeone and Bucero have met to discuss their plans for the rest of the window. Their pursuit of Gonzalez was confirmed, but that a second signature is also on the table, as still unknown in terms of position or player.

Atletico also opened the door for a departure to Alexander Sorloth, and a replacement for the Norwegian could explain the idea of a second signing. However, there are conflicting reports about the future of Sorloth, and the chances that Atletico earns their money again at Sorloth, which is apparently what they will demand, look slim at the time of writing.
