Pep Guardiola certainly enjoyed his summer off – he was spotted on Oasis texts in Heaton Park and even experimented with some daring new facial hair.
But the boss of Manchester City is now really back to the business world after the banging 4-0 victory from his side at Wolves in their opening match of the Premier League season at the weekend.
The Spaniard was noticeably no longer the mustache he wore during the low season in Molineux, and has now revealed that he was forced to grow his beard back at the request of his daughter.
Proponents saw Guardiola's surprising new look when he was seen in the Monarka Clinic in Barcelona, and it is honest to say that the experiment was not completely free for the legendary manager, because fans compared his mustache with Ted Lasso.
“It's gone,” Guardiola told men in blazers this week, “my daughter said it was terrible, so I had to get it off.”
Guardiola also spoke about his experience watching Oasis earlier this summer.
The iconic band started a reunion tour with the title Oasis Live '25 who has seen music lovers throughout the country, and the world, who are scrambling on tickets.
Warring Brothers Noel, 58, and Liam, 52, were seen for the first time in more than 15 years in Cardiff's Principality Stadium before they played shows at Murrayfield, Wembley Stadium and Heaton Park, where they played for an audience consisting of a large number of human city players and, Guardiola.
The former Barcelona boss was seen singing, do not look back in furious word for word while putting on a retro-man city shirt before he went backstage for photos with the men of the children Donavan, Sonny, Anais, Gene and Lennon.
Gene, the son of Liam, shared the Snap on his Instagram and wrote: 'Pic of the Century, okay? Now everyone is Els (sic) f *** off. '
Pep described his evening in Oasis, in which Noel shouted him on stage, as 'overwhelming'.
“It's the best band of the last 50 years after perhaps the Beatles or something,” the 54-year-old claimed.
'In the UK they have been by far the best and (for them) to have this love for me and my family and how they have taken care of me since I arrived.
'Listen, I want to admit something, the first day I arrived here in Man City 10 years ago, was the first interview I did with Noel.
“The moment the interview ended, I said:” It is impossible that this is not going well “when the first interview is done by him. I am pretty sure that it will be a fantastic period. '
And it certainly has been.
Guardiola has won 18 trophies during his decade in Manchester, including six Premier League titles, two FA cups, four competition cups, two community shields, one super cup, One Club World Cup and One Champions League.
But last season there was something of a struggle for Pep's side, which became Trophy-Lower and a surprising 13 points under the Liverpool competition champions finished in third place.
They were strengthened this summer, but the signing sessions of Marcus Bettinelli, Sverre Nypan, James Trafford, Rayan Cherki, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Tijjani Reijnders in an attempt to challenge the title for the title again.
And their competition campaign went a promising start against Wolves during the weekend, with Erling Haaland (2), Reijnders and Cherki on the score sheet in a 4-0 win.
The Cityzens host this weekend Thomas Frank's Tottenham in their second game of the season.
