Eberechi Eze to START for Crystal Palace in UECL as Tottenham talks rumble on

The attacker would like to become a member of Spurs, but will continue to work for the Eagles.

Ebereechi Eze starts on Thursday before Crystal Palace in their play-off collision of the League conference, despite continuous transfer discussions with Tottenham.

The Palace star was shown during the Palace's public training session earlier on Wednesday and manager Oliver Glasner confirmed that Eze will start against Fredrikstad tomorrow night.

Spurs are in advanced conversations to sign Eze, but another deal has to be agreed with Palace. Eze is thought that he is enthusiastic about a switch to Spurs, but he will continue to work for Palace until a deal is reached.

Glasner has also confirmed that Marc Guehi will start, with his future also uncertain in the midst of Liverpool's interest.

The Eagles boss said to reporters: “Most of you will be surprised that they will start again tomorrow. They are dedicated; they have a contract here.”

Spurs hopes to close a deal before the transfer window closes on 1 September, because they focus on three new signing sessions.

Playing in Europe for Palace would not be eligible for the Champions League.
