Alexander Isak continues to insist on his exit in Newcastle and his recent explanation may not have left him away – but people like Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane have recovered from such situations in the past
Alexander Isak is apparently happy to burn bridges on the left, right and in the middle in an attempt to force his exit in Newcastle. His last shot came in the form of a statement and accused Newcastle of broken promises.
The Swede is currently refusing to train or play for the Magpies, making it known that he played his last game for them. All that, while his employers maintain that he is not for sale despite the well -published interest of Liverpool.
Isak has claimed that “promises have been made and the club has known my position for a long time.” His downing of tools has come a huge shock given that his status as a hero on Tyneside, his role in the recent rise of Newcastle and the way in which he has come across so far during his time in England.
Alan Shearer admits that he “didn't think Isak had this in him”, because the player gets everything out of the closet to get his way, even though he has three years old about his deal. Reconciliation appears far away, maybe even something that can no longer be achieved.
Although the transfer market is open and Isak can get a way out, he will continue to push, but if he is still in the club in September, he might try to make it right. Especially with a world cup this summer.
Returning from such depths now seems like light features, but it has been achieved. Just ask some of the greatest of the Premier League ever. Isak is not the first and will not be the last, big name to decide that he has had enough. Only to realize that he played for the club, was he desperate to leave his only hope.
Suarez's Liverpool Return
Some consider the efforts of Luis Suarez in 2013/14 as the best single season by a player in the Premier League history. He scored 31 times in 33 games when he almost brought Liverpool to their first title in decades to their first title. He grabbed countless individual praises while he did.
But that summer it seemed as if his time in Anfield was over when he cried the club publicly and demanded that they sell it so that he could play in the Champions League. Liverpool had missed on the top four and the Uruguayan apparently did not want to get stuck with Arsenal circles.
He said: “I definitely gave everything last season. Now I just want Liverpool to honor our agreement.” Suarez further said: “I am 26, I have to play in the Champions League. I have the feeling that I have done enough to play in the Champions League in this phase of my career.”
Four months later and, in the midst of an amazing individual season, he drew a new long -term deal to become a top earner in Liverpool. Yes, he would leave for Barcelona shortly thereafter, but would recover his performances about the Red Folk on Merseyside.
Rooney's U-turn
Another man who won those who wore red was a Wayne Rooney. He took on Sir Alex Ferguson, because he was frustrated by the lack of ambition shown by Manchester United on the transfer market. He wanted to know who would be signed and when.
Rooney had seen Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo leave and was firmly left as the most important man in Old Trafford. He spoke with great individuals in the club, but they “gave me none of the guarantees I was looking for about the future team”, because Rooney made it clear that he would not sign a new deal in 2010.
Ferguson was frustrated by the case and the Evertonian had to sit outside while the first anger came, who only strengthened talking about a move to Manchester City.
48 hours later, however, and everything was good. Rooney drew a new deal and promised to do what he could get to get the fans back on the side. He said: “Some fans may not be able to take over me so quickly. It can take time. But I will give everything. I will give 100 percent and try to rebuild that relationship.”
That February Rooney would score a stunning overhead kick to lower United's Manchester rivals – a goal that Ferguson would explain as the largest he had ever seen in the club in his time. The attacker would spend another seven years in Old Trafford on the way to become their leading goal scorers of all time.
Kane is on the market
Another man who was heavily connected to City was Harry Kane, this in the summer of 2021. Fresh from his efforts with England in the euros, the Tottenham striker knew that there was a rebuilding on the maps in North Londs. He was at the height of his powers and still without a trophy.
The champions were looking for a new striker and wanted the captain of England. He left Tottenham fans furiously behind when he put his own appreciation on his head in an interview with Gary Neville and suggested that he would leave with him and his club – that the latter clearly did not agree.
Tottenham was stuck and refused to sell Kane, who had to sit out of the opening matches while the noise around his future continued. In a similar situation like Isak, Kane found that there was an agreement to let him leave and have frustration set up when he was not allowed to leave.
Kane would be angry with some Tottenham -fans copyping while he had integrated himself into the team again, although his versions were not always at the desired level. The striker is often mentioned “one of our own” in a song sung by the home crowd in Tottenham and he would soon enjoy his moment in the sun.
He scored a brace to Down City during his first meeting against them after his Transfersaga. The following season and a winning goal against the same Manchester-Outfit would officially see him the record goalscorer of the club.
