After missing the weight of different occasions, the UFC finally broke ties with one of their impressive contenders.
Last weekend the Premier promotion returned to Chicago for UFC 319 for the first time in six years, at the head through a central weight fight between Dricus du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev.
For a while it seemed as if the card was going untouched, but only a week from fighting started to fall off the card due to last minute injuries.
And when on Friday before the event, another fight was lost when Bryan Battle weighed no less than 4 pounds above the middleweight limit for his planned fight against Nursulton Ruziboev.

Could Bryan Battle become a title candidate in the UFC?
During his term of office, Battle showed some solid striking Fundamentals and had only suffered one loss in his four years with the promotion.
After fighting on both welterweight and central weight, there is potential that he could have been in the top 10 of the ranking in both weight class, but his lack of professionalism has cost him in the long term.
