Nate Diaz goes off on ‘scared child’ Khamzat Chimaev and breaks down how he would’ve beaten him in cancelled 2022 fight

Khamzat Chimaev received both praise and criticism for his title -winning performance last weekend.

While 'Borz' was incredibly dominant in the main event of UFC 319, Paulo Costa claimed that Chimaev's victory could have a negative impact on sport.

There were no real moments when it seemed as if Drus Du Plessis was in danger to get rid of the five round duration.

With 'Still Knocks' unable to threaten with an attack or to get up again when he was brought down, the undefeated challenger was under control.

Although one of the potential first challengers of Chimaev believes that he can pose a threat to him on the ground, the same can be said for an opponent that he would be confronted immediately in 2022.

Nate Diaz labels Khamzat Chimaev as 'scared' when responding to his UFC 319 winning

At UFC 279 in 2022, Khamzat Chimaev would participate in his first PPV head event where he had the opportunity to add one of the biggest stars of the sport to his profit reak.

'Borz' would have been the last opponent who fought Nate Diaz in the octagon until his weightsmiss led to a large reconciling on late notification.

Chimaev defeated Kevin Holland in the Co-Main event, while Tony Ferguson came to the headliner in the headliner.

Diaz was very critical about Chimaev, because he was in his first thoughts, in particular drawing attention to the fact that he broke the UFC record for most strikes that landed without truly opening at Dricus du Plessis.

Nate Diaz reveals what his game plan would have been to fight Khamzat Chimaev

After watching how dominant Khamzat Chimaev was on UFC 319, the top middleweight contenders will now be aimed at trying to stop the Takedown attempts of the champion.

Nate Diaz, however, revealed that this would not have been his approach to their 2022 fight on UFC 279.

Diaz stated in Sneako's stream that it was not smart to try to match Chimaev in struggling because he would be at a disadvantage.

Instead, he was planning to welcome 'Borz' to the ground and to accept that he would probably lose a decision, where he would use his time to try to damage Chimaev from the soil or to subdue his feet again.

“You're gonna lose a decision anyway so learn how to fight there. Put him in your closed guard and f——beat the f— out of him. You're gonna make my life a living hell trying to get up, then I'm just not gonna try to get up, I'm going to beat the f— out of you from my Back and Lose a Decision or Take You Out Show … I'm not Gonna Be An Athlete Back With You Because You Already ObviOutly Got That Part Covered, That's How He Got There. ”
