Barcelona Midfender Marc Casado has added an worshiper to the long list of clubs that want to offer him a route from Camp Nou. The 21-year-old enjoyed a great breakout season under Hansi Flick last year, but will start the season at the bottom of the pecking order in a well-filled midfield this year.
The Catalan giants have made it completely clear that they are willing to sell Casado in the last 10 days of the transfer market, even though they will not push him out of the club. Provided he wants to stay, he will do that. Cadena Ser, however, assures that they have told Casado that he will receive very little playing time this season.
A number of parties have shown interest in Casado, including Wolves, Bournemouth, West Ham United, Real Betis, Como and earlier Atletico Madrid and Chelsea. The Midlands side has made it clear that they are ready to reach the asking price of Barcelona € 30 million if the player is willing to leave.
The newest side to show an interest in Casado, according to a Mondial report from our, quoted by MD, Olympique Marseille, is the latest side to show an interest in him. This follows on their transfer list of Adrien Rabiot after a fight with Jonathan Rowe. The French giants are also willing to reach his asking price, while other options mentioned is Ismael Bennacer, Hicham Boudaoui, Douglas Luiz and Mateo Kovacic.
Last year Casado came to Frenkie de Jong and Marc Bernal for the first half of the year in the starting XI after injuries. Last year he also stayed for Gavi in the pecking order until his injury in March. The word is that all three Casado for Flick's thinking would be.
That said, Bernal is likely to be relaxed after his cruciate ligament injury, and at that time Casado is only an injury away from the first replacement in his position, at least in the early stages of the year. Likewise, Casado offers a firmness in midfield and defensive intelligence that his teammates don't do.
