Ange-Yoan Bonny labeled his summer transfer to Inter as “really beautiful” after advice from Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram before he came to the Serie A Giants.
Bonny completed his switch to Inter last month and put Pen on paper with a five-year contract for a reported € 23 million, while he also reunited with the former Parma boss Cristian Chivu.
The 21-year-old has impressed Parma for the past two seasons and registers 15 goals and 12 assists in all competitions, while also helping to return to the top flight.
The France Youth International will want to challenge Martinez and Thuram for a starting position, but thanked his new teammates for their help after his transfer.
Bonny also expressed his joy about Chivu's confidence in him to make his step happen, although he is now aimed at proving his value on the field in 2025-26.
“My relationship with him [Chivu] has not changed; He is the same coach from Parma, just at a higher level, but with the same qualities, “Bonny told Gazzetta Dello Sport.
“He is immediately, demanding and honest. I am really happy that I crossed with him at the right time in my career. I owe him so much. I am also thanks to him here.
“Now I am very motivated and I will try to earn my space because this is just the beginning.
“It was a period of adjustment, discovery and even struggle. It is all really beautiful.”
Bonny also acknowledged that he has a way before he agrees with Martinez and Thuram, which in 2024-25 shone for Inter.
In the Serie A last season, only four players scored more goals than Thuram's Count of 14, while Martinez also overtaken 12 goals and three assists for Inter.
“I study them [Martinez and Thuram]I try to understand the details, the way they move, with and without the ball.
“At the moment I am far away, but one day I hope to get closer to their level. Both Lautaro and Thuram told me two simple things, such as older brothers.
“First,” enjoy yourself, “second,” Always look for the goal “because we are strikers and we are also assessed on the goals we score.”
