Alexander Isak has no way back at Newcastle United and will not be welcome in the dressing room by his teammates, says Wayne Rooney.
The Swedish International has been associated with a large money movement to Premier League champions Liverpool in the transfer window and even went into strike to try a transfer.
Earlier this week, Isak made his first public comment about the situation and stated that he thought that his relationship with Newcastle could not continue as a result of broken promises.
The magpies responded in kind with their own explanation and insisted that they had never made an obligation to sell Isak and that a switch will not be punished.
Former captain of England and Manchester United Rooney spoke on his BBC -Podcast 'The Wayne Rooney Show' before the public explanation of Isak, but in quotes reported on Thursday, he said: “If I am a Newcastle player, I don't want to go back.
Newcastle United Statement: Alexander Isak

“I think if players leave football clubs – and that always happens – there is a way to tackle it.
“You can't go on strike, don't show up for training and training with your teammates. If you want to leave the club or not, you have to be there for your teammates and be ready if necessary.
“For me I don't think there is a way back for Isak in Newcastle.
“I think there are cases where it can happen, but I don't think I could accept them back as a person.
“As far as Isak teammates are concerned, I would not want him back.
“You can ask to leave a football club – that happens, or the club tells you that you are leaving – but you have to be professional.
“You have friends with whom you play with, you have fans who pay a lot of money to support and you can't just walk on it. And if they do it once, they will do it again.”
