Ebereechi Eze is on its way to Arsenal after Crystal Palace had agreed a transfer of £ 67 million and now the Eagles the risk of losing another star player, with Real Madrid who educates midfielder Adam Wharton
Real Madrid weighs a stunning movement for Crystal Palace -midfielder Adam Wharton, according to reports from Spain, only a few hours after the Eagles agreed to sell Ebereechi Eze to Arsenal for £ 67 million.
Palace has been talking about Eze's exit for a few weeks after he initially held discussions with Tottenham and agreed a fee, before Arsenal arrived at the last minute to hijack the deal.
Eze did not play in the 1-0 victory of Palace at Fredrikstad in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday evening while completing his move to the Emirates to play for his boy's club.
And while Palace is preparing to lose their talisman who led them to their very first FA Cup triumph, the club also scraps for the interest of Real Madrid in midfielder Wharton, as reported by the Spanish Outlet Diario ALS.
The report claims that Wharton is on Madrid's radar because manager Xabi Alonso misses a player who can dictate the pace in the middle of the park and dictate things.
It says that Madrid has not found a player who can do such a work since the outputs of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric Die is indeed much praise for the 21-year-old English international.
Wharton is “very nice” in the Bernabeu, the report continues, because he fits with the “exact profile” of the midfielder they are looking for, is still at a young age and has “indisputable talent”.
They believe that Wharton is a “brain” that prefers possession of running and can help Madrid to break stubborn defenses in La Liga.
However, Wharton would not be cheap. As believes that Palace would sell him no less than £ 70 million, the same price for which they have sold to Arsenal for. And even more sell the risk that manager Oliver Glasner will only run the risk that this summer has been affected in the transfer activities of the club.
Speaking after their victory of the conference, he said: “We are very late, very late to find replacements. I think we can behave much better than we do. It is not the best way to start the season. I think we are under the edge.”
Madrid also has to balance the books before they do even more large acquisitions. The Spanish giants have spent more than £ 150 million on Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen, Alvaro Carreras and Franco Mastantuono.
Wharton started his career at Blackburn Rovers before he came to Palace for a deal with a value of a maximum of £ 22 million at the beginning of last year. He played a total of 45 games for Palace and was a crucial member of the team that defeated Manchester City this summer in the FA Cup final.
If he joined Madrid, Wharton would join Fellow England Internationals Alexander-Arnold and Jude Bellingham in the Bernabeu.
