The UFC Shanghai ways went almost without a towbar.
The UFC returns to China this weekend for a UFC Fight Night event with head by light heavyweight Ko artists Johnny Walker and Mingyang Zhang.
Former UFC Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling will meet the double title champion Brian Ortega in the Co-Main event, which is planned for five rounds.
Ortega and Sterling were the final hunters who came into the weightings on Friday and there were a lot of speculation and rumors online that the game had been canceled.
Rest assured that this is not the case, but Ortega vs. Sterling will no longer be a featherweight fight at UFC Shanghai.

Brian Ortega vs. Aljamain Sterling moved to lightweight at UFC Shanghai
Prior to the Co-Main, 24 hunters got the scales at the UFC Shanghai roads, without weight missing from one of them.
Originally planned for featherweight (145 pounds), the UFC announced on Friday that Ortega vs. Sterling will now be disputed with a catch of 153 pounds.
Sterling, a former Bantamweight champion, was essentially lightweight for his weighting.

Ortega was a lightweight last summer when he was about to fight Diego Lopes on UFC 303. Ortega asked the UFC if he could fight a weight class after he had trouble making the favorite weight. The UFC mandatory but Ortega eventually withdrew to Fight Night.
Given its history, there is a chance that Ortega asked the UFC for a catch against Sterling at the last minute.

“Maybe it's time for Ortega to go to light … Not the first time they had to do this with Ortega,” wrote another fan.
After this audibly, Ortega can look at a move to lightweight (155 LBS).
