Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso could be confronted in the coming weeks with an important call for selection on Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Los Blancos finally completed a deal to bring in the English international prior to the FIFA Club World Cup in June.
Liverpool insured a definitive exit compensation to release the 26-year-old from the last weeks of his contract in Anfield, and he has always been present with Alonso so far.
Starts in five of the six games of Real Madrid in the US – after the absence of the PSG -Semi -final due to injury – underlines his interest in the team plans.
Alexander-Arnold started the La Liga-Sizens opener against Osasuna on August 19 when the Penalty of Kylian Mbappe won a 1-0 win in the Spanish capital.
However, there is still some concern about his output back from the right, with club captain Dani Carvajal now back to full fitness after ACL injury.
After 68 minutes, Carvajal replaced Osasuna when Real Madrid looked to secure the game.
The Spain International offers a different profile to Trent, with defensive grit and experiences its telephone cards, and Alonso can consider a change.
La Liga reporter Javi Casquero has openly claimed that Carvajal Trent could replace in the coming weeks, because Alonso seems to find a balance.
“If Carvajal returns to his full form, Trent would have to prepare for the Real Madrid bank,” he said.
Real Madrid stands for two games prior to the International break away in Real Oviedo on 24 August and at home on Mallorca on August 30.
Both players are then expected to leave in international duty with Luis de la Fuente who counts on Carvajal for the incoming FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifications.
La Roja starts on 6 September and three days later in Turkey with an away -blown header against Bulgaria.
Trent will participate in Thomas Tuchel's English Panel as the Drie Lions at home on Andorra on September 6 before going to Serbia on September 9.
