The French midfielder Andy Alune, born in 2003, joins Racing Club De Lens on a permanent transfer.
Adjustment, overcoming obstacles, having the courage to pause and start again to pursue a passion, written a dream in his own destiny: during his short career, Andy Alune Diouf, the new midfielder of Inter, has shown a capacity to fight for something he has always believed in.
Andy, born in Neuilly-sur-Seine on 17 May 2003 from a Senegalese father and French mother, grew up in Nanterre, on the edge of Paris, with only one thought in his mind: a ball to take everywhere and treat it as a loyal friend. The Diouf family lived and breathed football, dominated arguments, conversations and dreams: the passion was passed on from his father, who supported Andy and his two brothers, Jules and Waly, and encouraged to follow their dreams. Andy's brothers also become football players.
Diouf's adventure started at the age of six when he started playing in the youth sector of a local team called Garenne Colombes. This experience enabled him to gain insight into the Paris football landscape very early. He was already very physically imposed, but his technique needed work. In 2012, however, he went to Paris Saint-Germain. This turned out to be a decisive step in his development. Andy quickly reached a very high level when he participated in prestigious international tournaments and understood that his passion would be his life. Football was central to everything, football acted as the engine of its existence. As Diouf grew up, he lived for three years in an environment that improved him as a human and professional, also thanks to the sacrifices of his family, so he could train far from home: in 2015 he moved to AC Boulogne-Billancourt and arrived to a place that was smaller and closer to his parents. Andy did not give up, despite the great expectations of a child who had played on PSG at the age of 12. He played in Boulogne for three years and also went to the Clairefontaine National Academy. In 2018 his career started with a move to Rennes: the atmosphere in Brittany turned out to be favorable for an increasing talent. The club was a talent factory and Diouf showed its value in the youth sector teams by often playing above its age group. On August 16, 2020, he debuted in the UEFA Youth League round of 16, in a competition that would become an insight into his future. He played against Inter for seven minutes, in a match won 1-0 through the young Nerazzurri. A year later, on May 6, 2021, he made his Ligue 1 debut, against a team of his past. Diouf came to the field in the 79th minute of Rennes vs. PSG, a match that ended 1-1. In the 2021/22 season, Andy could not find much playing time with the first team and decided to go on loan to FC Basel. In Switzerland he played 57 games and scored three goals, all in the Conference League. The last goal came in the semi -final against Fiorentina in Stadio Franchi, while he held a precise left -wing strike from the edge of the area after a brilliant piece of individual work. His solid and convincing versions helped Diouf the award of Best Young Player during the Conference League 2022/2023. Then it was time to return to France: Andy was purchased by Racing Club De Lens in the summer of 2023. He played two seasons with the side and became an important part of Les Sang Et of's Side. Diouf made 68 performances and scored two goals. Moreover, he made his Champions League debut in the fall of 2023 in the collisions against Seville and Arsenal. Diouf is a physical and dynamic midfielder that is capable of wearing the ball and dribbling. He is a modern player who can treat different parts of the field. As the 27th French player in Inter's History, Andy also played in all French youth teams, who won silver at the Olympic Games in Paris, a tournament in which he was shown in two games, against New Zealand and Egypt.
