Chelsea was without Cole Palmer against West Ham, but his absence was not felt on a goal -loaded night where 'Braziliance' was a recurring theme.
The star of England was taken out of global warming after 'feeling something', where Enzo Maresca confirmed that he did not want to risk the number ten – a gamble that had a wise choice.
It got worse before they got better for Chelsea, because they admitted an early screamer in the hands of Lucas Paqueta's deadly left boot – something of a guided rocket in the right -hand corner.
But the blues were briefly in the steering step and answered with three goals in the first half – the first a Joao Pedro header after a corner, before the Brazilian provider became with a perfect cross that Pedro Neto ended with APLomb.
More Samba Brilliance followed, as Palmer's replacement in the starting XI, Estevao, perfectly combined with Liam Delap before he drove the right down and finished the ball for Enzo Fernandez to end.
In the second half it went from bad to worse for West Ham, because unlikely scorers Moises Caicedo and Trevoh Chalobah added the fourth and fifth goals of Chelsea to see the blues on the hammers.
This is how Sunsport Chelsea FC Reporter Lloyd Canfield rated the players …
Robert Sanchez – 6
Some will say that he should have done better to stop Paqueta's long -term blinder, but it seemed more like a nice finish than a custodian error.
He made a good salvation with 23 minutes to deny Young Freddie Potts a first West Ham goal.
The distribution of the Spaniard was also pretty good, with a defense split to Neto in the second half that pulled a sigh out of the crowd one night where he was not overly busy in reality.

Malo Gusto – 7
Malo Gusto claimed that he would be 'like Neymar' when he was told that Chelsea would play in their new Nike total 90 third kit tonight.
Perhaps Neymar was a bit far, but the Frenchman had improved much compared to last season, especially because he could overlap on the right.
Gusto was solid in defending when needed to do this, and was very impressive in an all-action performance on the right.
Tosin Adarabioyo – 7
In the absence of Levi Colwill, the responsibility to start the attacks of Chelsea from the back with line -breaking passes on the shoulders of Tosin.
He did that very well tonight, and was a rock at the back from start to finish.
Tosin was a titan in the air against a physical Niclas Fullkrug in the first half, and hardly gave New Boy Callum Wilson a pinch in the second.
Trevoh Chalobah – 8
Cobham -graduated Trevoh Chalobah took a goal in the route of West Ham, because the Hammers defense of jelly seemed to be forged instead of iron.
Chalobah was too important in the defense, led the team from behind and intercepted West Ham attacks when needed.
Marc Cucurella – 8
Marc Cucurella will set up a claim to be the best left back in the Premier League this season if he continues in this mind.
He won more often for the blues than any other player in the first half and claimed an assist with a big film for Joao Pedro's Equalizer.
There was something N'Golo Kanté -like his performance tonight – If 70% of the earth is covered with water, the other 30% is covered by Cucurella.
Enzo Fernandez (C) – 8
The Captain of Chelsea added their third goal, in what a Box-Cashing Enzo Fernandez becomes a textbook.
After a disappointing show in the opening match at home at Crystal Palace, the Argentinian was back with a revenge in its usual self, causing chaos to be defensed with his passing and 'Lampardian' late runs in the box.
He should have had a brace early in the second half, when Neto cut the ball to him alone for his attempt to become a side over the bar.
Moises Caicedo – 8
The brilliant Ecuadorian of Chelsea started on the goals of the objective at his 100th performance for the club.
West Ham could not defend crosses and Moises Caicedo was a beneficiary of it and clambered a shot in the bar after a clanger of Mads Hermansen.
The All-Action midfielder was defending his usual self, although some will blame him for not closed Paqueta, who opened the score.
He has scored only one goal in each of his previous four Premier League seasons, but will certainly double his usual count this season.
Estevao – 8
18 And in a Chelsea steps that XI begins, to replace one of the best players in world football, would be far too much for most of the notice period for most to handle – but not for those Chelsea fans baptize 'Big Steve'.
The Brazilian prince of the Kings Road has passed a record-like night in East London and became the youngest player who records a Premier League assist in 18 years and 120 days old, in a master class in Vleugelpel.
It was also an assist, because he combined brilliantly with Delap before he racet and the ball quadrafent for Enzo Fernandez who could not miss a few meters.
Could not quite add a first Premier League goal to his exciting performance when he got the chance to go with about 20 minutes.
Joao Pedro – 9
One night in which 'Brazilian' was a recurring theme, it was Joao Pedro who showed enough.
The man who inherited Palmer's holy number 20 shirt in Chelsea's Borderline Raunchy new Black Third Kit, first with a cup of finishing to get his his His level before his inch-perfect cross for Neto de Blues.
Moved in the number 9 roll when Delap was replaced and well printed to cause more and more problems for the defense of West Ham.
Pedro Neto – 8
The floor of a Neto version is a lot of hard work on whatever wing it is chosen to play, and energy continues with not much end product.
But Tonight Neto almost touched his oh-so-high ceiling.
A constant threat over the wings, with dangerous weak foot to the middle and a side -hearted volley to lead his team at a crucial moment, in which he showed the calmness of a seasoned target score winger.
Liam Delap – 5
His urgent and determination caused problems with the West Ham defenders, but he lacked the end product that Pedro showed when they compete for the number nine role in this side.
It is still to be seen this season, whether it is Delap and Pedro, unlike Delap vs Pedro, but if tonight's performance is something to start, there might be room for both when Maresca grabs his teams.
Subs:
Andrey Santos (Liam Delap, 62) – 4
So far not everything is expected from him in a Chelsea shirt and looks half of the player he did in Strasbourg last season.
Will definitely show this out in his role and show the player he can be supported by Maresca.
Jorrel Hato (Marc Cucurella, 69) – 5
Pasically imperceptible after emerging, although he was defensively solid despite the fact that he was hardly tested.
Wesley Fofana (Trevoh Chalobah, 69) – 5
Wesley Fofana was solid for Chelsea on his return to Premier League promotion, but was not tested much after his social media drama in the week.
Reece James (Malo Gusto, 69) – 5
It was a surprise not to see James in the starting XI, but he was good when he came up, helped to see the Chelsea defense and the game for the blues.
Jamie Gittens (Estevao, 77) – 5
Was born after a bad show against Palace and didn't have much time to influence this game.
The sparkle of Estevao and Neto may see him struggling to break back in the Chelsea that is now starting XI.
