West Brom make approach for Rennes’ Glen Kamara

EFL Championship Side West Bromwich Albion has made an approach for Stade Rennais -midfielder Glen Kamara (29), according to a report from L'Equipe.

Kamara, who only came to Rennes last summer, spent the second half of last season on loan in Al-Shabab in the Saudi Pro League. However, he would ultimately not stay in the Gulf state. But he also has no future in Roazhon Park. The midfield on Rennes evolved in the summer with Baptiste Santamaria and Azor Matusiwa who is already leaving.

Further outputs are expected in this department. Jordan James is the subject of much interest from Parma, Wrexham and another, unnamed championship side. Kamara is also expected to leave. In recent days, Bologna, West Brom and FC Copenhagen have all made approaches for the Finland International.

All three have contacted Rennes about a loan movement with a purchase option. L'Equipe understands that it is Bologna who is currently leading the race for his signature.
