Olivier Létang has the possibility that Benjamin Pavard (29) will return to Lille OSC this summer. Losc was associated with a movement for their former defender.
Saudi side Neom SC has already registered a strong interest in the French international. They offer Pavard to become one of the best paid players in the Saudi Pro League, but for the time being he has to open the door to the possibility of making the switch to the Gulf state.
Olympique de Marseille is also recently linked to a move, but they don't have to make a concrete approach yet. Roberto de Zerbi, however, has become public in his demand for reinforcements before the closure of the transfer window.
However, a deal will not be possible for Lille, as confirmed by Létang in a press conference on Friday. “He should arrive on Monday,” he joked.
Létang added: “I called Benjamin and we spoke but even the transfer, we could not afford it. There are things that are possible, and other things that are not. It would be great! I told him that I would like him to come back to us today. But there are economic considerations that are impossible to draw.”
Under contract with Inter Milan until 2028, Pavard can still leave the series in a side this summer. But he will not become a member of Lille.
