Eze unveiled to Arsenal fans after completing £60m transfer

Arsenal has completed the signing of Ebereechi Eze from Crystal Palace in a reported £ 60 million deal.

Eze, who was unveiled to Arsenal fans prior to their Premier League collision against Leeds United on Saturday, has put Pen on paper about a long-term contract in North London.

The international Van England leaves Palace with 169 performances for them in all competitions, scored 40 goals and registered 29 assists.

Eze enjoyed his best Premier League campaign in terms of attacking contributions in 2024-25 and offered 16 direct target involvement (eight goals, eight assists).

The 27-year-old also scored the winning goal in Palace's FA Cup triumph over Manchester City, so that the very first big trophy of the club and a place in Europe was sealed for the first time in Europe.

He seemed ready for a move to Arsenal's Rivals Tottenham, but Eze has opted for a return to his boys' club, after he had started his youth career with the Gunners.

About the move, manager Mikel Arteta said the club website: “We are absolutely pleased to bring Ebereechi to Arsenal.

“He is a powerful and exciting player who will give us a new dimension in our attacking game.

“What is striking if his talent and intelligence as a player is the way he has worked hard throughout his career to get where he is today.

“His journey, his mentality and his ambition are exactly what we want in our team, and we love how much it means for him and his family to join our club.

“We are all looking forward to working with Ebereechi soon.”

It was only Arsenal once.

Eze spent five years with Palace after his move from Queens Park Rangers prior to the 2020-21 season.

He made a sincere statement about his Instagram to the Palace fans and said: “Five years, man. Crazy. It feels like I walked through the doors yesterday that participated in QPR. The day you gave me the chance to realize my dream in the Premier League, for the largest club in South Londs.

“From the beginning I had set goals and my goals for what I wanted to achieve here in Palace, but I had no idea what would really prove to be in the last five years.

“They call us a family club because it is impossible to really understand what it is like to be part of this club, unless you are in it.

“So after all this, I really want to say that I really want to thank you. Thank you for believing in me, thank you for giving me a chance, and thank you for the love you have shared for a lifetime.”
