Carney Chukwuemeka and Aaron Anselmino will join Borussia Dortmund while Chelsea balances their transfer books with eight days to go in the summer window
Chelsea's Summer-Clear-Out continues with Carney Chukwuemeka and Aaron Anselmino the last to pack their bags for Borussia Dortmund, who removes the income of the blues after a stunning £ 270 million.
Chukwuemeka, 21, who illuminated Dortmund in loan last season, goes permanently back to the Bundesliga-outfit in a £ 24 million deal with a tasty sales clause and the England Under-20 Aas beaten RB Leipzig to return to the Westfalenstadion.
Just those Deal Rockets Chelsea's converts to a competition-leading £ 273.4 million that has splashed almost £ 277 million on signing sessions. The Exodus comes after UEFA had beaten the club with a fine of £ 26.7 million for violating their Squad cost ratio rules and warned owners Clearlake Capital that they should post a positive balance if they want to register their shiny new recruits for the Champions League.
In the meantime, the Argentinian Starlet Anselmino, 19, is on loan to Dortmund – although the deal does not contain an option to buy. Chelsea -Baas Enzo Maresca has told the teenager that minutes at the bridge this season will be a premium, but he remains reserved for a role in the future.
Chukwuemeka leaves after 32 performances since his switch of £ 20 million from Aston Villa, although his menstrual period at the club was influenced by a series of injury problems.
And the drama is far from further in West -London. Chelsea still wants two big names before the window closes on 1 September – with the unwanted Wideman Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United and RB Leipzig Starlet Xavi Simons on their radar.
But the starting door is expected to be even busier: Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nunku and Tyrique George were all able to continue the deadline for, while a 'bomb team' of up to nine stars – including Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell and Axel Disasi – scrape for the Chop.
On Friday evening, Chelsea registered a convincing first victory of the season to a gloomy West Ham, with newcomers Joao Pedro, William Estevao and Liam Delap who stood out in a 5-1 secrets of their Cross-Town Rivals despite Cole Palmer who takes an injury during the warming.
“The start was not the best in the way we had planned with Cole Palmer's injury and give a goal after five minutes, but the reaction of the players is something that is very good for me,” said Maresca.
“Especially you could see how sure they were about the game plan. They stuck at the game plan and next to the ball and went on in the same way. I am very happy, very impressed.”
