The players of Manchester United must “grow up”, said Ruben Amorim after Sunday's 1-1 draw with Fulham.
Emile Smith Rowe scored only 94 seconds after he came out of the couch when Fulham back to protect the Red Devils in Craven Cottage, so that United denied their first Premier League win of the 2025-26 season.
Amorim's side, who saw Bruno Fernandes storing a fine of the first half across the bar, had taken the lead by Rodrigo Muniz's own goal in the 58th minute.
Since the beginning of April, United has won fewer points than all other Premier League clubs (six) and Leicester City that are now playing in the championship, have more Premier League points than at that time (eight).
Amorim now has a Premier League winning percentage of 24.1% (seven victories in 29 games), the same as Neil Warnock (won 27 of 112 competitions), which was banned twice from the division, and the former sporty CP boss knows that there is a lot of room for improvement.
He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “I think we have scored the goal and then we have forgotten how we play. We want to win so badly, and that is a good feeling that we scored a goal and everyone on the field thought:” Let's hold the benefit and try to win the game. “
“For me that is the moment that we have to enjoy more and push the opponent. We tried to press the opponent high and left a lot of space behind.
“We have to grow up a lot like a team. For me, the most important thing that they worked very hard during the week, today we worked very hard, and we are going to improve. The moment the game changed, our goal was.”
Asked how his united team can “grow up”, Amorim explained: “Training, in the game. You have to win to relax a little, not in the intensity and the way we play, but by retaining our mind.
“We ultimately suffer a bit because the momentum changed more with the goal of Fulham.
“We were there in the first half, we missed a penalty. Fernandes has so much responsibility. Now we have to go further, no matter what happens.”
24.1% – Ruben Amorim now has a Premier League win percentage of 24.1% (7 wins in 29 games), exactly the same percentage as Neil Warnock (won 27 of 112 games), which was twice relegated from the Premier League. Worry. pic.twitter.com/4hfnutncrv

Fulham -boss Marco Silva has since been left frustrated by a few VAR calls that he felt was going to his side.
The decision to grant United a penalty was a controversial, with referee Chris Kavanagh who destroyed his original decision of no penalty after a VAR evaluation, eight of which Calvin Bassey Mason Mount had polluted.
Silva also felt that Leny Yoro was committed in the construction of the goal of United.
He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “I would like to explain everything about the VAR decisions this afternoon, but I can't.
“They were incredible to see two mistakes at the same time, [Luke] Shaw on Rodrigo [Muniz] And Bassey on the mountain at the same time, both mistakes, and they saw that the Bassey error was half a second for the Shaw error on Muniz?
“Then the second [the United goal]. I think what I saw is what everyone saw in the stadium, everyone around the world saw it. Two players were isolated on a corner and one player pushed the other to lead the ball. If you go the rules, you know what will happen. I would like that kind of decisions are always the same. Simple like that. “
