Surprise Premier League club enter the race for Lucas Paqueta

Tottenham and Aston Villa will continue to follow the developments this week with West Ham Midfender Lucas Paqueta.

The Brazilian is open to leaving West Ham for Champions League football after having passed a tough past 12 months after bets and Spurs and Villa belong to a number of clubs interested in the 27-year-old, as reported by Daily Mail Sport.

West Ham strives to add more players to strengthen Graham Potter's team after a bad start of the season with two defeats and eight goals admitted.

They have made offers for numerous midfielders, but have trouble getting deals about the line with the escalating prices.

Paqueta, who was searched for by Manchester City in the summer of 2023, could still enter if suitable offers come in and allow the club to strengthen first team options.

Spurs have already signed Mohammed Kudus from West Ham, but wants an attacking midfielder after the injury of James Maddison and after missing Morgan Gibbs-White and Ebereechi Eze.

They give priority to a number 10 and winger in the remaining days of the window with Savinho from Manchester City also in Focus. Thomas Frank would also like another center-back.

They have tried for Nico Paz in Como, but he stops for a move to Real Madrid next summer, while Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche is another option.

Paqueta at least has Prime Minister League experience, but Spurs are aware that Aston Villa is also interested.

Villa has asked Chelsea -Paar Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nunku and discuss the possible return of Marco Asensio on loan from Paris St Germain. They work within financial limitations, so they might be creative in their offers.

They have sold West Ham -target Jacob Ramsey to Newcastle and sent Leon Bailey to Roma for a first loan costs of £ 1.2 million. They have also rejected Everton's interest in John McGinn.

Everton -Manager David Moyes is indeed another admirer of Paqueta and clubs in Saudi Arabia.

In the meantime, Wrexham continues to negotiate West Ham -midfielder Andy Irving. The championship side also loves Rennes -midfielder Jordan James.
