Dricus Du Plessis has finally opened for the first time for fans since losing his middleweight title earlier this month.
Back on UFC 319, the South African was brutally considered about five dominant rounds by Khamzat Chimaev. Since then, the mostly vocal former champion has been unusually quiet while putting his next movements.
Now he has released a long explanation in which he says that he is 'not a good loser'. He has sworn back and to dominate the division again, although a Rematch kilometers from the heads of the promotion seems to be for the new champion after such a clear victory.
Dricus Du Plessis issues a long explanation after the defeat of the UFC 319
Dricus Du Plessis chose not to pronounce immediately after his loss against Chimaev, except for a short interview after the fight in the Octagon with Joe Rogan. His coach Morne Visser, however, did the rounds, and now more than a week later he has finally released a long explanation.
“It is a little more than a week ago and I spent some time with my family and friends, those who will be closest to me who will win or lose with me,” Du Plessis wrote to his nearly 1 million followers on Instagram.
“I embrace this loss with open arms, because believe me as much as I hate, it is just as much part of life as part of our play- and I believe it is necessary in my pursuit of greatness.” Without the bitter, the sweet would not be so sweet. “
“Make no mistake, I am not a good loser, because a good loser becomes frequent. However, I am an avid student of art and of life itself.
“This loss has exploded in me that will result from an attack that is greater than the original domination – my return to glory and the pursuit of greatness will be unimaginable for the average minded.”

Although he claimed not to be a 'good loser', Du Plessis was merciful enough to have the defeat completely assigned without any excuses. He even congratulated Chimaev on his victory, who was marred with some controversy about his disinterest in the search for a finish.
“I have absolutely no excuses for my performance,” Du Plessis continued. “I was beaten in the night by a better hunter, congratulations on my opponent and thank you for the honor of sharing the Octagon with you.

“Thank you for all the love and support of fans around the world, and my sponsors who always have a crucial role and will play in my success. And thanks to everyone who enjoyed seeing me falling, because I will give the favor as I always have.
“I believe in the plan of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for He knows best and I can't wait to see what He has planned for me in the future.”
