Allegri spoke this morning before the Serie A opener with Cremonese.
Asked if Milan will be contenders this season, said allegri: “Faves or no favorites … Then there is a group of teams, and usually the favorite is the one who has won the previous season (Napoli), then there is Inter, Roma, Fiorentina, Juventus, Lazio.
“You have to be very good in your daily work, keeping balance. It is not a matter of a three-man or four man defense, but of the characteristics of the player: if I put someone else on full-back instead of (Fikayo) Tomori, I have more momentum. But you can play in different ways.”
Asked for Luka Modric, Allegri also said: “It is not necessary to talk about Modric's technique … His career shows it. He plays the ball more on the outside than on the inside, and very few do that. He is a very modest guy.
“He may not have the physicality of a 10-year-old, but together we will manage him as well as possible. He is physically in good condition.”
