Pioli, a Scudetto winner with AC Milan, took the lead over Fiorentina after leaving Al-Nassr in the summer.
During his Europe Conference League Playoff review Today, Pioli said: “I thanks (owner Rocco) Commission for the preservation of strong players and individuals of content such as (Moise) Kean, (David) de Gea, (Albert) Gudmundson, (Nicolo) Fagioli and (Robin) Gosssoss.
Kean? I wanted him in Milan, even though some talked bad about him. Nothing was true, a serious guy who gives everything. And he is a friend of (Rafael) Leoo, both with big hearts.
“(Edin) Dzeko? A professor on the field. From the field, an example for the younger players. Trident? It depends on the other eight, the opponent and the game.
“Transfer market? I expect a few signing sessions, the club knows what is needed. I love commission, he is candid and direct.”
Pioli also discussed seasonal goals (“The Champions League must be our goal” and “I know very well that Fiorentina has not won since 2001, it is a responsibility and a motivation”).
