Gary Neville believes that the draw of Manchester United with Fulham saw the return of “old scars”, and warned Ruben Amorim that the midfield of the Red Devils remains unbalanced.
United went through Rodrigo Muniz's own goal in the second half in Craven Cottage, but they could not keep it up for their first victory of the Premier League season, because replacement Emile Smith Rowe equalized for Fulham.
United also saw Captain Bruno Fernandes dismiss from the penalty spot in the first half, his fifth Missed Spot-Kick in the Premier League since his debut in 2020. Only Mohamed Salah and Aleksandar Mitrovic missed so many.
Amorim's Premier League win rate now is only 24.1%, with United only winning seven of his 29 games at the helm.
That is the same win rate as Neil Warnock won in his Premier League career (27 wins, 112 matches), which were relegated with both Sheffield United and Cardiff City.
Since the beginning of April, United has also won the least points (six) of an ever-present Premier League club, where Leicester City earns more at the time despite playing in the championship (eight).
And Neville was alerted by the way Fulham was achieved by United and 0.81 expected goals (XG) gathered to the 0.31 of United after the break.
“My optimism was somewhat controlled because it felt like a few old scars appeared and opened again,” said Neville on the Gary Neville podcast.
“I think the keeper [Altay Bayindir] Still looks very shaky on those crosses of the corners that cannot continue because that fears.
“Then in the center of midfield, I think United must now do a piece of company. The two are exposed in it.
“Those gaps, that hectares of space, seem to open themselves and I thought United was cut a few times in the second half.”

United was previously linked in the transfer window to a movement for Brighton -midfielder Carlos Baleba, but the asking price of the Seagulls of more than £ 100 million has proven to be unaffordable.
United brought new £ 73.7 million striker Benjamin Sesko back from the bank in Craven Cottage, but he did not try a shot and only registered one touch in the Fulham area.
“Sesko, at the moment, let's just say it, he is not nearly close to terms of fitness or just gets up to speed,” said Neville.
“Ruben Amorim said before the game that there is a shout to play him. He will have to get him against Grimsby [in the EFL Cup on Wednesday] And give him 90 minutes.
“What you can't do is just stay on the couch.
