Cole Palmer went incognito in Notting Hill Carnival on Monday afternoon when he put on an extensive disguise.
The Chelsea star was determined to enjoy some downtime in West Londs, just a few miles from the Stamford Bridge Stadium that he regularly lights up.
Palmer's grandfather, Sterry, was born on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean and he made his first trip to the nation in the summer – a vacation mail sport was added to him.
Notting Hill Carnival, the largest street party in Europe, celebrates Caribbean culture and wanted to participate as such.
The 23-year-old, who missed Chelsea's 5-1's 5-1 thrashing from West Ham on Friday due to a warm-up injury, posted a video of the festival and a photo of his outfit on Instagram.
He was wearing a full face mask, a rastacap and black dreadlocks in an attempt to embrace his heritage – but perhaps not too much attention.
Palmer is not someone who draws attention to himself and the mask will have allowed him to enjoy his afternoon without getting too much of the spotlights.
The star of England went viral in April while he jogged past Stamford Bridge after the game to pick up a pair of Prada shoes.
He had a stream of people in tow, people shouted his name during filming, and it was a grim memory of how difficult it can be for players to go in public.
Palmer faithful to his nature had a short message when he placed Hill from Notting Hill and wrote: 'blendinggg'.
