As time ticks for the transfer deadline, Rodrygo 'future this season seems increasingly likely in the Santiago Bernabeu. The Brazilian has seen a shift in his role since April, but without lovers who would make a solid move for him, Real Madrid could stay.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are all connected to Rodrygo, reportedly with the Brazilian most enthusiastic about a move to Merseyside. But in all three cases, Rodrygo is an alternative instead of a preference. Arsenal has fulfilled their needs with the signing of Ebereechi Eze, Liverpool still chasing Alexander Isak and Manchester City is still planning to retain Savio Moreira, the top choices for every party involved.
According to Indykaila, who has previously reported that Rodrygo asked to leave the club, Rodrygo does not want to take a wage reduction if he makes a movement. They say he wants his € 300k contract per week to be matched before he is considering a move. The 24-year-old is supposed to earn around € 12-15 million a year from Real Madrid.
In the meantime, Fabrizio Romano notes that every movement in the last week of the window is difficult due to the size of the deal. He says that every agreement with Real Madrid in the region should be of € 100 million, and that although Manchester City is strongly interested in him, it depends on the future of Savio, where City has so far rejects the attempts of Tottenham Hotspur to sign Rodrygo's international teammate.
The word in Spain is that Rodrygo has decided to stay and fight for his place in Real Madrid, due to the lack of a solid alternative on the table. Rodrygo will certainly have trouble going somewhere without an offer, even if both players and clubs are open to the idea.
