Cagliari announces that Atlanta -midfielder Marco Palestra will be on loan at the club.

Cagliari Calcio is delighted to announce the acquisition of rights to the sporting versions of footballer Marco Palestra, which switched from Atalanta BC until the end of the sports season 2025/26.
Born in Buccinasco, class of 2005, he grew up in the Youth Academy of Atalanta: After passing the youth sector, he made his professional debut at the U23 team, in series C, with which he made his debut on 3 September 2023. On October 7 he scored his first goal, decisive for the Draw (1-1) against Albinoleffe. He will end the season with 41 performances, 3 goals and so many assists. For him there is also the satisfaction of making his debut with the first team – just 18 years old – in the Europa League match against Raków Częstochowa.
Last season he became a permanent member of the first team: he stood up in the UEFA Super Cup final against Real Madrid on August 14, 2024, and only a few days later his series made a debut in a 4-0 win over Lecce. Another memorable date was his first Champions League match, on November 26, 2024, against young boys. In total he has 15 performances in national and international competitions with the Bergamo side.
Currently has 3 games with the U21 National Team, after also playing in the Azzurri U19 and U20 selections.
Physically impressive, 186 centimeters long, a great runner, Palestra is a full-back that, because of his great versatility, can be used both right and left. Competent in both phases, thanks to good technology, dribbling, gameevision and tactical intelligence, he knows how he can make himself dangerous with his runs and his ability to deliver inviting crosses for his teammates.
