Jose Mourinho urges Fenerbahce to sign 26-year-old Real Madrid star

Real Madrid is on track to be busy in the run -up to the window of the summer transfer that closes on Monday evening, especially with regard to expenditure. Dani Ceballos is getting closer to Marseille joining, while Rodrygo still attracts strong interest from the Premier League – and another who could leave is Andriy Lunin.

In the past few summers, Lunin has been regularly associated with a switch from Real Madrid, where he has been back -up of Thibaut Courtois since 2020. Villarreal came to call a few weeks ago, but if things are standing, he is expected to spend another season in the Santiago Bernabeu. However, that can change.

With six days to go until the transfer window is closed, Lunin no longer has time to find a transfer – if that is what he wants. But it turns out that he could have an opportunity waiting for him at Fenerbahce.

According to Diario As, the Turkish giant Lunin has reserved as their favorite candidate to replace the international goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic of Croatia, who insists on leaving in the coming days. And it is the former head coach of Real Madrid Jose Mourinho who advised the club to go for the Ukrainian.

Lunin has been just as reliable as they come when he has been called by Real Madrid, especially during the 2023-24 season when Courtois was sidelined with an ACL injury. Club bosses would be happy that he will stay as the second choice keeper, and their intention would be to make it difficult for everyone to sign him.

It is still to be seen whether there is movement with regard to Lunin in the last days of the summer transfer window. Real Madrid would be scrambled to find a replacement if he left, so it would be a big surprise if an exit would get the green light.
