Man Utd set deadline for final Kobbie Mainoo transfer decision after Ruben Amorim claim

Kobbie Mainoo has been an unused replacement in the first two Premier League matches of Manchester United so far this season and the future of the midfielder is in the air

Manchester United has reportedly set a 48 -hour deadline to make a decision about the future of Kobbie Mainoo. The midfielder has to play for another minute this season, in which Ruben Amorim prefers people like Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte for him.

Mainoo has been an unused replacement in the first two Premier League matches of United, where Amorim explains that he immediately competes with Fernandes for a place in the team. “Mainoo is fighting for his position at Bruno,” he said.

“I changed two midfielders, I left Mason Mount there because we wanted to score a goal and when I changed, I felt that the team needed one to keep midfielder. So he has to fight for his position at Bruno. At the moment he is fighting Bruno for the position.”

According to the Daily Mail, Mainoo 'became frustrated about his peripheral role' under Amorim and is open to leaving United for a club in the Champions League before the transfer star is closed this summer.

The report claims that ten clubs have registered their interest in Mainoo, with conversations about a new deal for the English International who is stuck, and United is expected to make a decision about the situation in the next 48 hours.

United has spent more than £ 200 million this summer to bring in Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon, but they have trouble discharging players. Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof were released after their contracts have passed, while Jonny Evans retired.

Marcus Rashford has been on loan at Barcelona with an option at the La Liga Giants who completely cover his wages, but United should not release the will of Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony, Tyryll Malacia and Rasmus Hojlund yet.

“It is no idea that” these players will leave and then we will receive another player, “Amorim said when he was asked for an update about United's transfer activities prior to Sunday's 1-1 draw with Fulham.

“We don't know what's going to happen, but we don't wait to take someone out to take another player with you [in]. One is not responsible for the other.

“The players you are talking about are not players who are currently training with the group. We have a group training, so it will not influence much.”
