Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior set for Porto move as £26m loan with obligation to buy nears agreement

Porto is almost a loan to the obligation to buy Arsenal -defender Jakub Kiwior.

Porto and Arsenal have discussed a total package that would be worth £ 26 million, including the loan costs.

The 25-year-old Poland International came to Arsenal from Spezia in January 2023 for £ 20 million, but never fully established itself under Mikel Arteta, making 68 performances largely as cover for William Saliba and Gabriel.

With Arsenal well -filled in the central defense, Kiwior has emerged as one of the different players who is willing to continue the club before next week's deadline.

While Porto Drings to Kiwior, Arsenal is also working on a potential deal for Bayer Leverkusen Center Back Piero Hincapie.

The Ecuador International has a release clause of £ 52 million, but Arsenal is investigating ways to close a deal on lesser conditions. He has long been admired in North Londs and is supposed to be open to the switch.

However, Leverkusen has already lost several important players and has retained that they will not sell hincapie under his clause, despite interest from Tottenham, Newcastle and Liverpool.

Arsenal should ideally go on Kiwior, and possibly Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has admirers, including Fenerbahce, before she commits large funds for the deal.

Arteta already works with a bloated team after a summer of heavy editions that has invested nearly £ 200 million in people like Viktor Gyokees, Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke and Crithian Mosquera.

If hincapie arrives before the deadline, it would take the spending of Arsenal past £ 300 million in front of the window and push the total expenditure of Arteta as Gunners Boss since 2019.
