Real Madrid -midfielder Dani Ceballos seems to leave the club before the end of the transfer window, eight years after participating in Real Betis. Despite frequent talk about a return to Seville, Ceballos appears to move to France.
Ceballos arrived in 2018 for a reimbursement of € 16.5 million and has since been with the Santiago Bernabeu, except for a two -year loan spell at Arsenal. However, he has difficulty breaking into the starting XI and has decided at the age of 29 to find a greater role elsewhere. Ceballos also has one eye on the Spain team for the World Cup 2026.
After the negotiations between Real Madrid and Olympique Marseille have emerged, there seems to be a deal nearby. The French giants and Los Blancos will arrange a loan agreement with an option to buy in the region of € 15 million. Cadena Ser that Los Blancos 'very optimistic' is that the deal is completed, with only a few small financial details that must be ironed between Ceballos and Marseille.
Nevertheless, Ceballos has given the green light to the move, even if the financial agreement is not yet.
Real Madrid -look is set to lead the move despite the wishes of Xabi Alonso. The Basque coach wanted to hold Ceballos as a depth entry, unless he would have a replacement signing arriving, but there is no certainty that this will be the case. Los Blancos has identified three potential options to replace Ceballos, but no longer have time to make a signing instead of Ceballos.
At the age of 29, and with another two years about his deal, Los Blancos will undoubtedly be satisfied if they can get close to what they have paid for Ceballos before the end of his deal. It leaves Alonso without an experienced option of his temperament on the ball at the foot of midfield.
