According to the official statement, Iñaki Peña contract extension until 2029 and loan to Elche.
Agreement reached between FC Barcelona and first team player Iñaki Peña to expand his contract until June 30, 2029.
Agreement also reached between FC Barcelona and Elche Club de Fútbol for the keeper to go on loan for this season until June 30, 2026.
La Masia graduated
Iñaki Peña arrived in La Masia from Villarreal in 2012 to become a member of the U14 team. In 2017/18 he was part of the U19 team that claimed a first UEFA Youth League trophy before he was part of the Barça Atlétic team in the Barça Atlétic team in the 2018/19 season.
Adventure in Istanbul
The keeper alternated between the B -team and the first team in the 2020/21 season, and in the winter of the 2021/22 season, Peña left for Galatasaray and made his debut in Europe in the Europa League for the Turkish side. He returned to the club in the summer of 2022 and was officially registered as the first team player in January 2023.
Debuts
That same season, 2022/23, Peña made his first team debut in the Champions League on November 1, 2022 against Viktoria Plzen, before making his first performance in La Liga for the Blaugranes gone in Valladolid in May 2023.
